CMW Mission Statement & Long Term Goals

Clan MacFarlane Worldwide, Inc.

Mission Statement

The mission of Clan MacFarlane Worldwide is to explore, document, preserve, and share the history, heritage, and traditions of ancient Clan MacFarlane, and to serve as a connection for all MacFarlane Clan and Sept descendants worldwide.


Long Term Goals


#1 We will explore, document, preserve and share the history, heritage, and traditions of Clan MacFarlane.
 
 #2 We will extend a hand of friendship to MacFarlane descendants, Sept descendants, and all who share our interest in the heritage of Clan MacFarlane.
 
 #3 We will share the heritage of Clan MacFarlane and endeavor to bring together those interested in this heritage through our growing membership, our presence at Scottish games and gatherings, our magazine "Loch Sloy!", our website, and social media venues such as Facebook.
 
 #4 We will support genealogical research and encourage DNA testing as it pertains to our Clan MacFarlane heritage.
 
 #5 We will promote goodwill by our support of Scottish heritage activities such as athletics, dancing, and music. Grants may be given to individuals representing Clan MacFarlane Worldwide or grants given as awards in our name.
 
 #6 We will support other individuals and organizations who are independently advancing our goals.
 
 #7 We will connect and communicate with the broader Scottish community through groups such as the Council of Scottish Clans and Associations, clan organizations, and Scottish heritage groups.
 
  #8. We are committed to being fiscally responsible and broadening our base of support.
