Muniment - Hill 72 1395
Muniment Hill 72 was created in Latin and dated at Inchmurrin on the feast of Corpus Christi June 10th in the year 1395. It has been transcribed/translated and is now available for CMW members to read on the website under Muniments. This is another of the oldest muniments in the 110 MacFarlane muniments considering that it was created over 630 years ago.
This Charter of Confirmation or land grant is from Doncanus Comes de Leuenax (Duncan 8th Earl of Lennox) to Duncan MacFarlane 6th Baron and 3rd Chief of Clan MacFarlane son and heir of Malcolm MacFarlane 5th Baron of Arrochar and 2nd Chief of Clan MacFarlane confirming or granting him some lands in his earldom of Lennox.
